Please join us in Phoenix, Arizona, for our 2008 annual Training Workshop and Business Meeting! We'll again be meeting in cooperation with the Wildlife Management Institute and the North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference. NMFWA dates will be 24-28 March 2008. Our host hotel is the downtown Hyatt Regency Phoenix, which is close to City Hall, the Convention Center, the Dodge Theater, America West Arena (Phoenix Suns), great restaurants and much more. The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is about 3 miles from downtown Phoenix and has decent fares. Unfortunately, their light rail system will still be under construction when we're there, so getting to the Hyatt will likely require a shuttle, taxi or rental car.

Working Group meetings begin Monday afternoon (March 24), and the NMFWA Plenary will be Tuesday morning. A Wild West banquet will be held at Rawhide Western Town & Steakhouse - dress code is definitely casual! Among the sessions this year will be a special NMFWA 25th Anniversary celebration, and a joint NMFWA/WMI session highlighting successful military natural resource partnerships. A field trip to the Barry M. Goldwater Range is being planned for Saturday, 29 March (contact the Local Host if interested).

The Show and Tell Reception will be held Wednesday evening. We will have the always popular Photo Contest, Silent Auction, and Poster Session. Contact the appropriate Chair to participate in any or all of these activities. Vendors wishing to set up a display should contact the Program Chair or Show and Tell Reception Chair.

Before or after the meeting, of course you can take some time off to visit Grand Canyon National Park; Saguaro, Canyon de Chelly or Organ Pipe Cactus National Monuments; dozens of other State and National Park units (and if you include Southern Utah, about a dozen more!). And birders know what "Southeast Arizona" really means!
