•List of Board of Directors •Needs to look at future training needs in respect to land conditions, Thanking all who attended the annual meeting in Washington DC, listed new committee chairpersons •NMFWA 6th annual meeting was held in conjunction with the 54th North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference, theme was “The Biopolitics of Managing Fish and Wildlife Resources on Military Installations” •Meeting called to order by President Larry Adams, Secretary/Treasurer reported on the number of members and bank balance with estimated of net balance at close of meeting, DNRC reviewed the resolution on public awareness and determined that no further action was needed, DNRC recommended the Glencoe course for training game wardens, working to develop a new GS series for archeological positions, cost of the 2 issues of the FAWN, awards committee reported on plaques and awards, also information how they should proceed with the awards, need separate site from the North American conference in 1991 since it will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, President Adams outlined the election procedure, membership form to be revised, report on Law Enforcement Course to be taught in June at Fort Leonard Wood, discussion of name change from “Fish and Wildlife”, meeting of Larry Adams minutes, Responses to resolution adopted in July meeting in Albuquerque, NM, discussion of newsletter issues for the coming 12 months, awards, Poster Sessions , considering a survey of members, donation to the USFWS Law Enforcement Helicopter Fund, Tom Warren introduced the Firearms Resolution, Patty Worthing presented background information on the Rainforest Resolution, applications available for Law Enforcement Training Course, Committee positions were discussed, participation on the By-Laws Committee, developing a guide to establish procedures for installation hunting programs, discussion on a proposal for the NMFWA to meet in conjunction with a DOD Natural Resources Management Conference, •New Resolution were presented discussed and adopted at the NMFWA meeting in Washington DC, Tropical Deforestation, Introduction of Endangered Species on Military Lands •Awards committee received 9 nominations for consideration •Current active membership, new members, number of persons attending annual meeting and training session, expenses and bank balance, cost of newsletter •Wildlife Law Enforcement Course Handbook, NMFWA members elected to NWF Board, Wildlife Society accepting nomination •The FAWN is entirely a business issue
