2022 Academic Scholarship Awards

The National Military Fish and Wildlife Association has established a scholarship program to assist in financing higher education for students studying natural resources management.  We are proud to announce our eighth annual scholarship award for 2023.  The Association intends to award a minimum of two scholarships annually, each in the minimum amount of $500.00.
Our goal is to provide financial aid to students pursuing degrees in wildlife and fisheries biology, botany, ecology, range conservation, forestry, and/or wildlife law enforcement. Awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

Eligibility Requirements

Anyone who will have sophomore, junior, senior or graduate level standing at a college or university during the fall semester/quarter of the year in which the scholarship is awarded is eligible to receive the scholarship.  Preference will be given to active duty or honorably discharged military service members, members of NMFWA or relatives of NMFWA members and applicants that are currently working or have worked on Department of Defense lands.  Applications are due by Friday, June 30, 2023.  The scholarship is awarded during that fall for the upcoming academic year.  Preference will be given to students with a history of experiences, activities, and interests in the field of biology; college course work applicable to field biology; and a 3.0 grade point average. College transcripts and two letters of reference from instructors or past employers must accompany the application form.

Application

Students must complete the application and submit it through this site along with a complete college transcript of grades. All applications must be submitted NO LATER than June 30, 2023.  Applicants are solely responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information.  All information submitted is confidential and will be reviewed only by the NMFWA Scholarship Committee.
