Show Us Your Best Shot!

The 2021 NMFWA Photography Contest will be held virtually this year. Photos will be pre-loaded onto the on-line conference platform with the ability for conference participants to vote for the winners. To ensure that your photo is entered in the contest, it must be uploaded to the NMFWA website no later than 05 February 2021.
 
Contest rules are as follows:

  • Photos must be taken by the participant. Anyone registered at the conference is eligible to enter.

  • Each photo must include the name and contact information of the photographer, along with the entry category 

  • Color and black and white images are acceptable. 
 
  • Each photo must qualify in one of the following categories:
    • Wildlife - any species is acceptable
    • Installation Field Activities - photos must have been taken at a DoD installation or project site to qualify for this category
    • Landscapes/Scenic - any location is acceptable
    • Humor/Fun - includes wildlife or people in humorous poses, people taking part in fun activities such as NMFWA meeting, studio shots, etc
    • Botany- any plant species is acceptable. This includes fungi and alga.

  • Each participant may enter a maximum of two photos in each category. One prize will be awarded in each category. 
 ​
  • Voting will take place on-line. Winners will be announced on the Event Photo Contest Page, the day after voting closes.
 
  • Photos submitted should be 72 dpi to help ensure the photos do not exceed email attachment size limits and to ensure that the photos will display nicely in the virtual platform.​
