Actions by the DoD Chesapeake Bay Program to address Climate Resilience Goals and Outcomes in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed – Implications for Natural Resources Management

Abstract:
DoD Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP) staff will present an overview of ongoing climate-related initiatives, programs, data collection, reporting, and outreach with a focus on natural resource co-benefits. Examples of topics to be discussed may include water quality programmatic milestones, Chesapeake Bay Program Partnership Climate Directive and federal agency implementation, development of Compatibility Use Plans and the inaugural Virginia Coastal Resilience Master Plan, Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration and Sentinel Landscape initiatives, the Department of Defense Climate Action Plan, CBP factsheets and journal articles, etc.
