Rhande Shaw

Rhande is a Natural Resources Program Manager for the Oregon Army National Guard. She has been with the agency since 2015, joining the Environmental Branch in 2023 and immediately becoming a NMFWA member. Rhande jumped straight into assisting at our annual Workshops and becoming a member of the NMFWA Outreach Committee. She is excited to continue supporting in a Director-At-Large role, bringing new ideas and enthusiasm to the BOD. She is currently filling a partial term as a BOD appointed Director-At-Large, due to an unexpected vacancy.
Raised in rural Eastern Oregon, Rhande grew up with a passion for the outdoors, spending much of her time hiking and observing wildlife. Understanding the importance of conservation and sustaining our natural resources, Rhande graduated with a degree in Applied Ecology from Oregon State University.
Rhande now works as one of two natural resources managers in the state of Oregon, covering four major installations across 3 different ecoregions. Her favorite days at work include breed bird surveys, Burrowing Owl banding, and landscape restoration. Rhande is passionate about connecting sustainable ecosystem management with mission-scape priorities and training needs.
In her free time, Rhande loves to play with her dogs, golf, and read. She is always looking for ways to get outside and continue learning from her environment and peers.
