Abstract:

The landscape of the drone regulations and usage by DoD civilians has changed dramatically over the last few years (and will again!). Updates to broad DoD policy, available equipment, and alternative approval pathways will be presented. Case uses focused on natural resources of various UAV and sensor types will be presented. Adoption and acceptance by leadership is a complex problem, and knowing updated rules and possibilities are the first steps to implementation.
